Spineless Wonders – 10th October 2012

10,000 steps a day is supposedly the recommended number of steps that we should aim to walk each day. Many people will manage far more, whereas some of us will find it a struggle to heave our lazy backsides up off the couch…

Do you like to walk? What’s your favourite way to stay in shape/get in shape/destress?

Ms Katykins and The Spineless Wonders 🙂

So . . . how does a one footed fellow take even one step?

Oh gosh, I couldn’t possibly count to 10K. I was told to walk at least 15-20 minutes a day and our neighborhood has up and down streets for huffing and puffing. I carry hand weights and strap on ankle weights.

I like the idea of using the weights – do you feel they are beneficial or do you dislike using them? Maybe you could get a pedometre. You just strap it on to your belt or your shoe and it counts the steps for you. 🙂

I walk nearly every day, and sometimes twice, for half an hour. That’s in addition to the other exercises on the menu. 🙂

I’m not even sure how they tell which way they are going’. I get up and walk to the refrigerator several times a day. 🙂

HA HA! 😀 The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single wiggle! Good for them for being so health conscious! 😀
